Your Mac,
from anywhere you are.

Control a Mac from your iPhone, iPad or another Mac. Sharp, fast and encrypted end to end, with no accounts and no cloud in between.

The app for iPhone, iPad and Mac is on the App Store. The free server runs on the Mac you want to control.

How it works

Set up in a minute.

Two apps: a small server in the Mac's menu bar, and the MacRemote app on whatever you're holding.

1

Install the server

Drag MacRemote Server into Applications on the Mac you want to reach. It lives in the menu bar and starts nothing until a device connects.

2

Get the app

Download MacRemote from the App Store. One app covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.

3

Pair once

Scan the QR code or type the 12-character code. From then on, your device connects with a tap.

Remote desktop

Feels like sitting at it.

The Mac's screen is streamed at your device's own resolution over QUIC, decoded in hardware, with text that stays sharp.

  • A display sized for your device, so nothing is squinted at or letterboxed
  • Speed, Balanced or Best quality, switchable mid-session
  • Trackpad gestures and touch on iPhone and iPad, full keyboard on a Mac
  • Full screen, or view only when you just want to watch

File manager

Move files both ways.

A two-pane file manager, with this device on one side and the Mac on the other. Copy, move, rename and organise without leaving the app.

  • Browse the whole Mac, not just a shared folder
  • Interrupted copies resume where they stopped
  • Send photos from your iPhone as originals, Live Photos included
  • Keyboard shortcuts for Tab, F5 copy, F6 move and more
  • Deleting goes to the Mac's Trash, never straight to gone

For AI agents

Let an agent use the Mac, too.

The server includes an MCP server, so agents like Claude Code can see the screen and use the mouse and keyboard on a headless Mac.

  • Agents get a 1280×800 display of their own while they work
  • Each agent has its own token, which you can revoke
  • Local or over SSH only; never on the network listener
  • Touch the mouse and agents pause, so you stay in charge
  • Off by default

Built in

Everything you'd expect, and nothing you wouldn't.

Encrypted, always

QUIC with a pinned host key. There's no unencrypted mode to switch on by accident.

Paired devices only

Every connection is a device you paired. Codes are single-use and expire in three minutes.

No cloud, no account

Your device dials your Mac directly, on your network or over your VPN. Nothing goes through a relay.

Shared clipboard

Copy on one side, paste on the other: text, rich text, links and images. Password managers' secrets are never sent.

Private when idle

Nothing is captured, and the recording indicator stays off, until a paired device connects.

Activity log

Every connection, refusal and file change a device makes is logged on the Mac.
